Let's Play Church
If God does NOT really exist... If the day will NOT come when unrepentant breakers of His Law will answer to Him... Then, by all means, let's play church! Let's get together on Sunday morning and sing a few religious songs and be stirred up by some upbeat religious music and be entertained by cleverly chosen but empty religious words. Our week will be a lot more tolerable if we get together on Sunday to convince ourselves not to take this God thing too seriously .. that is if (contrary to the Bible) these things are NOT true.
BUT if they are true.. If there is a God.. If unrepentant breakers of His Law will be judged by Him and that forever.. continuing to play church is the worst thing we could ever do to ourselves and to our children. Nothing in this world is more important than knowing and being made right with God. We will ALL stand before Him on that day. Those who have not turned from their rebellion and trusted in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, will have His wrath poured out upon them forever. One thing which will make that judgment even more severe will be the remembrance of ignored warnings... the memory {when it is forever too late} of all that time playing church when we could have been really preparing to meet God. May God grant that this not be so in your case. Come & worship God with us.
